The 2017 Maranges 'La Fussière' is sourced from 30-year-old vines which are planted to clay-limestone soils situated between 800-1,300 feet above sea level with a south-southeast exposure. Elegant red begins with inviting aromas of raspberries, florals, herbs, forest floor and crushed stones. On the palate this is light to medium-bodied and balanced with a wonderful combination of acidity and minerality that persists through the finish. This is a beautiful wine that will be quite appealing in its youth, but should also continue to develop and gain further complexity over the next decade.
