The 2020 White from Quilceda Creek is a classic Bordeaux styled blend of 66% Semillon and 34% Sauvignon Blanc. The nose is simply gorgeous, layered with pretty aromas of ripe lemon zest, lime blossoms, tangerine, and pink grapefruit, followed up by hints of fresh ginger, lychee, sliced almond, honey, elderflowers and crushed rocks. The medium-bodied palate displays tightly wound flavors citrus, yellow fruit layers, backed up by a racy backbone of intense acidity and finishing long and mouthwatering. This is a fantastic white that is hard to resist on release, especially with some extended air contact. This should continue drink beautifully as it develops over the course of the next decade.
