The 2020 Chateau Pont de Peyrat Montagne Saint-Emilion begins with inviting aromas of cherries and plums joined by tobacco, spices, wet stones and hints of toast. Medium-bodied with fine tannins leading to the finish where cherries, tobacco and mineral notes linger. This is accessible now, but could also offer a drinking window that should span a decade.
