The 2011 is another wonderful effort from Château l’enclos de Viaud. As this unwinds in the glass it offers seductive aromas of black cherries and dark currants followed by tobacco, pain grille and graphite. This possesses a gorgeous rich, velvety texture with beautifully polished tannins that lead into the long, plush finish. This Château has been turning out some pretty serious wines and with a team consisting of winemaker Jerome Aguirre and consultant Michel Rolland along with a recent large financial investment there is no telling where the limit is for l’enclos de Viaud.
