The 2011 Arborina is a flashy Barolo delivering intense aromas and flavors of blackberries and cherries woven together with leather, spices, licorice, mint and freshly crushed violets. It shows distinctive power, structure and depth with big chewy tannins, which are nicely polished. Everything bursts onto the finish, leaving behind a mouthful of juicy dark fruits and spices to linger on. This is already showing plenty of appealing characteristics and should continue to evolve nicely over the next decade. (Best 2016-2030) - May, 2015 (JD)
