From a special selection of vines aged 35-50 years old, this Tempranillo was blended with a small amount of Graciano on soil that is primarily clay and limestone. This was aged 24-26 months in oak. Deep and dense hue leading to aromatics of dill, black cherry, anise and oak. Lovely mouthfeel with black cherry, coffee, blackberry and orange peel flavors. This is generous and delicious, a but more forward than the 2005 Gran Reserva. (Best 2015-2025) - August 2015, (OB)
