This blend of 26% Garnatxa, 24% Merlot, 17% Syrah, 17% Cabernet Sauvignon and 16% Carinyena comes from vines grown on the steep slopes of Porrera. It offers aromas and flavors of cherries and blueberries which are woven together with spices, black pepper and a loamy character. Full-bodied and well structured with a meaty texture, ending with lingering finish where it picks up a slight bitter edge. This will show well over the next few years, and should be at its best if allowed another year or two in bottle for everything to settle in. (2017-2021) - May, 2016 (JD)
