The 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Blanc from Domaine Saint Préfert is an extraordinary showing in this vintage and one of the most compelling blancs I have ever tasted from Isabel Ferrando. The aromatics are absolutely incredible, as it opens to complex aromas of honeysuckle, white flowers, asian pear and melon, followed by Meyer lemon and spices all coming together and soaring from the glass. It continues to impress on the palate with a simply gorgeous silky texture which demonstrates wonderful purity and depth of flavor. This shows remarkable range with stunning layers of flavor, while remaining beautifully balanced through the long supple finish. Today, this is alreay quite approachable, howrver I expect this to continue to evolve gracefuly for years to come. (Best 2017-2029) - February, 2017 (MD)
