Seventy percent of the grapes were selected from the Wairau Valley and the remaining from Awatere Valley. Bright, ample acid and alcohol that is kept in check make this a very food friendly wine. Notes that are grassy, herbaceous, and only lightly sweet play at a respectable volume that does not overwhelm. Expect meyer lemon, pineapple rind, and guava characteristics.
