The 2015 'La Grand Comtadine' Vacqueyras is composed of 70% Grenache and 30% Syrah from old vines planted in granite cliffs at the foot of the Dentelles de Montmirail. This opens to inviting aromas of black raspberries and dark plums, which come together with pepper, spices, violets, wild herbs and black olives. Full-bodied, structured and balanced with a gorgeous velvety texture, which expands through the pepper infused finish. This Vacqueyras is showing extremely well now, but also displays the characteristics to evolve for up to a decade. (Best 2018-2028) - July, 2017 (JD)
