The 2015 Galius is composed of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged 12 months in French oak. It instantly opens to aromatics of ripe blackberries, dark cherries along with violets, spices and wet stones all soaring from the glass. This possesses a lovely round, velvety texture which is underlined by dark fruits, floral and minerals. The finish is long and sleek as it leaves a lasting impression. While this displays the potential to further develop with some short-term cellaring, it is also a wonderful wine to approach early on. (Best 2017-2025) - July, 2017 (JD)
