The 2014 Benchlands Cabernet Sauvignon opens with aromatics of dark cherries and blueberries woven together with spices, dried herbs, mocha and hints of pencil shavings all coming together in the glass. On the palate this is full, yet nicely balanced, with polished tannins and lovely mouthfeel. Ripe dark fruits are framed by a lovely touch of acidity, keeping it fresh and inviting through the finish. A fantastic Cabernet to approach in its youth, with the potential to cellar.
