A lovely wine from Chris and Susan Alheit, the 2016 Flotsam & Jetsam Cinsault made from dry farmed bushvine parcels with an average age of around 240 years divided by 6. It begins with pretty aromas of red berries, pepper, spices, orange zest and dried violets all taking shape. Medium-bodied, balanced and precise, this continues to impress all the way through the finish with its silky texture, juicy red fruits and wonderful freshness. Overall this is a very accessible wine which many will find to be simply delicious.
