A darker, richer, and more extracted red Burgundy, it reminds me of some of the Domaine Serene Pinot Noirs from Oregon. Wild huckleberry, red cherry, new leather, scorched herbs, and a hint of cherry cola pop from the glass with this medium-bodied Santenay. Producing layers of ripe red and blue fruit on the palate, along with racy acidity, structured layers, and a lovely finish. It needs another year in bottle, but after that, cellar and enjoy for a decade or more. 495 cases produced.
