The 2014 Grand Tinel blanc is a fantastic blend of 65% Grenache Blanc, 20% Clairette, 15% Bourboulenc. The consultant winemaker, Philippe Cambie, blocks Malolactic fermentation, resulting in a mineral driven wine with wonderful freshness. It aromas are very expressive, with a complex nose of lychee, tangerine peel, papaya, pulverized lime, followed by hints of fresh green herbs, flinty mineral and a touch of smoke. It delivers fantastic freshness and minerality on the palate as it leads into the fresh finish. Drinking very well now and will continue to evolve for the next decade.
