The 2014 Châteauneuf-du-Pape is a simply dazzling effort in this vintage, offering an incredible elegant, silky quality, which makes this simply irrestible. As the aromas of cherries and plum begin to rise from the glass they are immetiately joined by pepper, exotic spices, dried floral, mineral and a touch of black olive. The palate is absolutely luxurious as it displays wonderful concentration and balance along with a soft, satin-like texture leading into the lingering finish. The Traditional Cuvèe is already quite impressive, but will also thrive in the cellar for years to come. (Best 2017-2030) - December, 2016 (JD)
