NICOLAUS FEUILLATTE Champagne Brut 'Palmes d'Or' 2002

The 2002 Palmes d'Or Champagne is comprised from 11-12 Grand Cru vineyards and is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir. This wine was disgorged in 2012 and opens with aromas of Granny Smith apple, oak and poached pear. It possesses flavors of red delicious apple, mushroom, brioche and marzipan. There are some lovely earthy flavors that connect with the fruit. The mousse is exquisite and the finish lingers for more than 30 seconds. (Best 2015-2025) - November, 2015 (OB)
