The 2014 Villa Poggio Salvi Brunello is a fabulous effort from Luca Belingardi. It begins to draw you in with its elegant floral aromas of elderflowers, helichrysum and undergrowth which accent the fresh red fruits. On the palate this possesses a medium body, with soft and well-extracted tannins as it finishes with a long pleasing finish. A beautiful Brunello that is lovely today and should also offer a moderate drinking window that should span a decade.
