The Cerretta Cru has been a part of the Scavino family for 30-years, however this is the first vintage they have released a wine made solely from this cru and the result is simply magical. It begins with gorgeous aromatics of dark cherries, dark plums and raspberries that are woven together with spices, florals, eucalyptus and minerals all coming together in the glass. On the palate this is elegant, classy, and beautifully polished, as it continues to impress with its wonderful overall balance of fruit and acidity. This is impeccably structured with fine tannins that grip firmly on the long finish. While this shows flashes of brilliance in its youth, it should ultimately go on to age gracefully for many years to come.
