This blend comes from the southern border that hails from the province in Grosetto. Aged two years, one in Slavonian oak and one in French oak. This is a blend of 15% Merlot and 5% Syrah alongside Sangiovese. The wine begins with res currant, blackberry, cedar and seaweed. There are flavors of cherry pie, raspberry, and pomegranate with crimini mushroom. This is mineral driven with a silky texture. Wonderful value from this region. (Best 2016-2024) - January, 2016 (OB)
