This inky colored red is a combination of Tempranillo (60%) with smaller parts Syrah, and Cabernet Sauvignon. This wine was aged for 12 months in oak prior to bottling. The wine opens with a bright bouquet of leather, smoke, pencil shavings and blackberry jelly. Medium weight and highly structured, this delivers some nice black fruit flavors alongside strong minerality and light tannins. This is a good value out of Castilla.
