I love the commonality that you can find in the Pence lineup of wines. Each wine is very unique but there is a common thread that ties their wines together - luscious acidity, medium to full-body, a long finish and these wonderful lemon/orange citrus, crisp fresh apple, and toasted baking spice characteristics. I wasn’t told the oak treatment on this wine, but compared to the others I tasted, it probably comes in around 30-35% new French oak, resting for about 13-16 months. I would give this wine a year or two in the bottle and then enjoy it over the next decade or more. Only 148 cases produced.
