The 2007 Stone Heart Vineyard is composed of Syrah, Grenache, Mourvedre. It's soft around the edges and probably at its drinking pinnacle right now and a fantastic effort, similar to Saxum's 07 James Berry Vineyard, however the finish and depth comes up just a smidge short of that perfect wine. There are notes of dark fruits, white pepper and smokey BBQ with a hint of sweet tobacco as well as a complex herbaceous note, but not green by any means. Silky Smooth, captivating, yet light on its feet, this is a terrific wine. - March, 2014 (VM)
