The Erlich Vineyard, located in Oakville, is home to Cabernet vines planted from the 1940's. The 2014 is an absolutely outstanding Cabernet which begins with profound aromatics of crème de cassis, anise and red bell pepper with sandalwood accents which all come together and soar form the glass. The plush texture provides wonderful enjoyment, as the deep flavors of anise, crème de cassis, mocha and black tea all continue to impress through the long, opluent finish. While this Cabernet is already utterly compelling in its youth, it also has the potential to cellar remarkably well for many years to come.
