Aged for 4 months sur lie in 18% new French oak barrels, this gorgeous Sauvingon Blanc is fresh and lively on the nose with none of the extreme gooseberry notes that can possibly turn people away from this variety. Fresh aromas of creamy lime parfait, lemon curd, vanilla wafer and a touch of wild mint form the nose. The palate also has a yummy creamy lemon pudding characteristic with additional notes of white peach, yellow pear, and sweet baking spices. Admittedly I don’t gravitate towards Sauvingon Blanc when reaching to drink a wine, but I would purchase this bottle on any restaurant list I find this summer. 10,000 cases produced.
