The Moxee Vineyard is the highest elevation site utilized by Sixto. The 2016 Chardonnay shows nice bright pear, vanilla creme brûlée and lemon zest aromatics with a touch of Challah bread on the nose. The palate shows a lovely combination of viscosity and tension as bright starfruit, butterscotch, and brandy soaked sourdough bread flavors mingle together in the glass. I expect this will cellar well over the next decade as secondary nuances begin to develop.
