Another yummy white wine from Gard, this one from 100% Roussanne fruit from the Royal Slope. Displaying a gorgeous golden apple color in the glass with ripe stone fruit, toasted anise seed, fresh basil, and spiced roasted apricot notes are all present. It’s aged for 14 months in large format barrels with about 50-60% of them being new, that gives it that round and lush mouthfeel. An oily texture on the palate is balanced with the wonderful acidity.
