The 2011 Joseph Phelps Freestone Vineyards Pinot Noir is a brilliant wine, offering a generous dosage of ripe red berries, cranberry, spices, floral, herbs and hints of smoke. This has a gorgeous rich texture balanced out beautifully by racy mouthwatering acidity that carries straight over onto the spicy finish that keeps pulling you back for another taste. The fruit was sourced from the Freestone Vineyards (Pastorale 59% and Quarter Moon 41%) and was aged for 14 months in 40% new and 60% two-to three-year-old French oak barrels.
