This Pinot Noir is sourced from the Weir Vineyard, located in the Yorkville Highlands, which is in the southwestern portion of Mendocino. The vineyards proximity to the Pacific allows the fruit to benefit from a cooler climate. The wine itself displays aromas of cranberry, cherry, earthy soil, smoke and spring flowers. On the palate, the fruit is pure with good structure and a nice balance of acidity. Overall, this is well made Pinot Noir that will be accessible early on. (Best 2015-2025) - February, 2015 (MD)
