The 2019 Indigene is made from a white grape mutation of Pinot Gris grown in the Dundee Hills. A bouquet of fresh green pear and white wildflowers are present on the nose. On the first sip, green apples, lime zest, and warmed hazelnuts shine with juicy acidity, gives way to secondary characteristics of grapefruit pith and dried herbs. I loved this wine and am excited to see how it will evolve in the bottle over time. Only 72 cases produced.
