I love the Syrah coming from Red Mountain, and Col Solare’s ‘Collector’s Society’ really shines. With 100% Syrah fruit coming from the Ranch at the End of the Hill Vineyard, this beauty is aged in 100% new French oak for 22 months. It boasts a neon purple core with a silvery rim in the glass while producing exceptional notes of spiced black cherry, sweet vanilla, peppered charcuterie, toasted black peppercorn, wild sagebrush, wet earth, and Bergamot. Medium-plus acidity, medium-plus rounded tannin and a wonderful balance with no rough edges complete the wine. Only 200 cases produced. Drink now or over the next 15 years. Highly recommended.
