The 2014 Walla Walla Valley Merlot is sourced for the Ferguson and Seven Hills Vineyards. Composed of 80% Merlot, 10% Cabernet Franc and 10% Cabernet Sauvignon which was aged for 18 months in 40% new French oak prior to bottling. It begins with aromas of , black cherries, sagebrush, milk chocolateand and roasted figs. Silky and round on the mid-palate, yeilding deep, concentrated flavors of mocha, cigar box, pencil shavings and minerals that connect with nice tension. The combination of weight and elegance is lovely. If enjoying young, be sure to give this at least an hour in the decanter. (Best 2017-2027) - November, 2017 (OB)
