EVESHAM WOOD Pinot Noir, Eola-Amity Hills ‘Temperance Hill Vineyard’ 2019

Fruit coming from old vines planted in 1982, it’s aged for 18 months in all neutral French oak and showcases a medium garnet core with a light ruby rim. Opening with notes of sour red cherry, cranberry, candied violet petal, and cherry cola, it offers secondary characteristics of wet earth, toasted pine nut, black peppercorn, and dried sage on the palate. More balanced with the acidity than the other Evensham Wood Pinots, it finishes with lovely rounded yet present tannins that will help this wine age for another decade or more. Best in 2023. Only 74 cases produced.
