The 2012 'Grace Vineyard' Pinot Noir is another stunner from Serene. Needing more than an hour decant, the wine reveals dense aromas of red cherry, nutmeg, cran-pomegranate and baking spices. There are rich flavors of black truffle, cremini mushroom, forest floor, black cherry with hints of cola. You usually don't associate the word 'powerful' with Oregon Pinot Noir, but this bottling has a rich and dense profile that packs a punch. While it is absolutely gorgeous now, the Pinot Noir will improve with at least another year in the bottle. (Best 2017-2028) - February, 2016 (OB)
